From the Ground Up-Part 2

After returning home from the holiday break, it was really great to see how much had been completed on the house. The entire exterior was finished, front door was set and stained, cabinets were installed and trim carpentry work had begun.

the exterior of the house

living room- to the left is the hallway to the master bedroom
and to the right is the hallway to two bedrooms and a hall bathroom
our kitchen- straight through is the dining room and to the
right is the breakfast nook

as of today:
*trim carpentry finished
*beams, banister and mantel stained
*concrete poured for the walkways/sidewalks, driveway and patio
*cabinets, baseboards and crown molding painted
up next:
*ceilings, walls and island will be painted (only took us spending a small fortune on samples to find what we wanted)
*kitchen and bathroom countertops installed
*lighting and hardware installation

the countdown is on!! we're crossing our fingers the weather will cooperate and everything will go according to schedule and we can be in our house in about 6-7 weeks! wahoo!
