summer happenings!

A lot has been going on for us the past few months.
With heavy hearts we had to say goodbye to our
WONDERFUL friends in Pittsburgh.
We were so blessed and fortunate to have made such good friends in such a short period of time. They became like family to us.
We sure do miss them!
We (minus Zach) then spent a week in Newport Beach, CA with this good lookin' crowd!
We had a great time, as always! Riding bikes down to the pier, playing at the beach (sometimes even before 9 a.m.), playing the FUNNIEST game that made us laugh until we cried and,of course, visiting the happiest place on earth! I LOVE our trip to CA!
loving cousin Emery
catching starfish was a new found interest for the kids.
most of the ones they caught, unfortunately, didn't survive.
i was shocked...
at first, Zoe was a little hesitant of the water,
but by the second day
she couldn't get enough.
here she is not quite ready to give it a go.
Avery: always cool and loving the beach
(and the red zinc too!)
Next I, minus our kiddos, attended Zach's graduation!
After two long and challenging years, the end finally came!
He has worked SO hard to get where he is. I am so proud of him.

us right before his graduation banquet
us during the banquet.
his program director was giving her speech which was very scattered and uninteresting so we took pictures of ourselves to pass the time until she was finished.
as a graduation gift, Zach and each one of his classmates received a white lab coat with their credentials and the name of their group on it. i think they turned out pretty good...
what an accomplishment! so proud of him!
And last but not least, we moved to the great state of Texas!(Amarillo to be exact) Zach was offered a great job we just couldn't pass up. We've been here for about a week now and are really enjoying ourselves. We've already received a warm welcome and have met some wonderful people. We can't wait to see what the future has to offer us here.

Sounds like so much excitement! I'm sure it's hard to leave old friends, but going to new places can be really fun! I can't believe you moved to Texas. You were supposed to move next door to me. Remember? Good luck with everything and congrats to Zack!!

Congrats on the job Zach! We know how hard it is to earn medical degrees! Or Matt does! I am so happy to know that you are now Texans! If you ever come down to San Antonio we should visit and go to the Riverwalk! We would love love love to see your cute family!
